Amazing what they have uncovered and the statistics they show. In case you have not figured this yet I am Australian, and I know we have pretty much the same type of situation. We love the idea of retiring and doing the Travelling, and what we call Doing The Loop which is Purchasing a Caravan and usually a 4 wheel drive and we take 12 months or more in many cases to Travel around Australia. The people who do this are called Grey Nomads. There is always much debate in these age circles about should we "do" Australia first or should we do our overseas travel then came back and "do" Australia later...Always an interesting conversation at BBQ's among a group of friends and acquaintances.
