GIVING BACK = FEELING GOOD

It's enough to indulge and to be selfish but true happiness is really when you start giving back.                                                                          - Adrian Grenier

To me, giving back is so important. It makes others feel good which then in return makes me feel good.                                                                  - Katie Cassidy

The more I create & give of things & time,

The more time I spend in helping others,   The happier I become..

Happiness is where Importance is.                                                  -Dorothy Pilgrim

My giving back and feeling good experiences started back when I was a teenager serving at our local church.. then again as an adult in 1999/01 when I was challenged to go and seek some volunteer work but it had to be at a hospice....

That was an eye opener, and it was an honor to sit and listen to a beautiful human beings talking to you about their life and how things had turned out for them, the sad stuff and their greatest joys in life. Some of them were blessed enough to be able to make a last visit home, often that was their last place of call. I remember asking these lovely people what it was that they would enjoy the most about going home... The answer every time was my rose garden, my pet, being with their significant other, or some simple life blessing that they loved.

It was never I want to sit at my palatial home and celebrate my grandeur, It was never I want to be home and count what is in my bank account, it was never I want to lie once more with my wealth.... No it was always something simple....

Much was learnt from that amazing experience.

In the last 5 years helping in areas around Australia where there has been fires and floods, being there listening and helping farmers and property owners get back on their feet and providing a listening ear so they know they are not alone. This has been very  satisfying and I have also made lifetime friends.

See to the left something I have always wanted to do giving children a better life. This is set to be the best yet as I look and aim forward...

A child is never turned away from House of Hope Village or the School no matter what their need is. The URGENT need is for School Buses to move the children from surrounding villages in a poverty stricken rural community to School and back each day.
